Concentration in top US companies has not slowed

Stock market concentration is hitting another record:

The top 10 US companies now reflect a record 22% of global stock market capitalization.

The percentage has DOUBLED over the last 6 years.

For context, at the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble peak, this metric was at 14%, or 8 percentage points lower.

Meanwhile, the top 5 US firms make up a record 16% of global equity value, also the highest in history.

This now DOUBLES the 2000 peak.

A handful of stocks are driving the global market.
